Glück: Defined.

I’m sure some of you are curious as to why the title of my blog is foreign: glück. Or maybe you’re not, but I’m going to tell you anyways. 😜

My husband, Nathan, has an incredible memory and is seriously one of the most intelligent individuals I have ever met. When we first met, he nicknamed me his “glück,” one of the many German words he remembers from his high school requirement of a foreign language. (I took 6 years of Spanish and studied abroad and barely speak semi-fluently LOL).

This word became so much more than just a nickname and ultimately is now a representation of our relationship. He is my best friend, my strength, and above all, my absolute happiness.

Moral of my story, find someone where weird foreign language words have the BEST meanings, inside jokes infiltrate your lives, laughter engulfs your days, and MARRY the person who makes you unquestionably happy.
